Mom met us at the Olive Garden by the Galleria Friday afternoon. This was fater I visited a Dodge dealership and got a big fat no when inquiring about the Grand Caravan. Eh, it is typical. Anyway, we ate at the Olive Garden and went to the Galleria and shopped a while. I was wearing my contacts and suddenly one of the was irritating me and feeling like it was coming out. I went by Pearle, where I bought glasses a while back, and the took me right in and gave me a free case and solution and adjusted my glasses for me. I love that place. We had some expensive ice cream, and headed to Wal-Mart. I got several tank tops and a couple of shirts on the $3 rack. Wooohoooo! I love sales. I got William an mp3 player. It only holds about one CD's worth of songs, but it will come in handy I am sure. He feels left out porr little baby.
Then Saturday, since it rained all day Friday, we had Lauren's party here. Just cupcake cake and family with a few gifts. No big to do. I feel guilty, but she doesn't care. She kept blowing out her candles as I lit them. All 2 of them. It was cute.
Today we went to Jasper. Everyone thinks Amanda should do what they wanther to with the nursery. They have a 2 bedroom home, and the second bedroom is their office. They are going to make part of it for the baby and keep part of it the office. What else can they do? Besides buy a new house. I am so sick of hearing them complain and talk behind her back. I know they did it to me too. I didn't want them to hold the girls all the time, but they did. They gripe b/c Amanda says the same thing. And they will do it when she isn't looking like they did to me. The think the baby needs a changing table. I used my changing table about half a dozen times. It is a weird position to change a diaper from the side. Just use a blanket on the couch or the bed or the floor. Then Mom says this chect Amanda has isn't big enough for the baby's clothes. I have a small 4 drawer chest I use for both my kids. Hang up clothes go in the closet. Geez. They have a small closet but who doesn't? The baby won't need too much other than sleepers and onesies for a while anyway. Hang up stuff can even be fold neatly and put in a drawer. Sure, there are things they don't know they will have to change in their lives, in their houses even. It is part of it. No one knows what will have to be done. Their baby may only sleep with them. He/she may not want to be held a lot. He/she may not want to breastfeed. You can't know until it happens. Mom and Nana need to just let them live as they please and learn as they go, just like all of us did.
OH! Amanda recorded the baby's heartbeat and went to the Buils-A-Bear Workshop and put it in one. She dressed the bear in overalls and boots (work boots)and named him Cameron. She is sleeping with it to get her scent on it so that the baby can have something to snuggle with and hopefully he/she will sleep alone. Things like that help.
Mom is gone, and I have a mess to clean. She never picks up after herself. She goes on about it's her turn to do to us what we did to her. Well, if she does it now, that means when she gets old she is going to a nursing home since we have already made up for what we did. She is so dumb. And she had to call a new foreigner several times a day. I swear she is a dork. She can't getan American man, so she goes after foreign guys thinking she can mold them into something perfect. She isn't after this man, he is married. But gee, get some permanent friends who speak plain English.
Better go before I get ugly :)
