So I get online this morning and suddenly my inbox starts to fill up as I watch it. William is responding to my e-mails. So we get to talk kind of like IMing each other through e-mail. He wants me to send him a computer. I built one online like he wants and it is $2200. By the time I pay for it and ship it to him, he will be near the end of his deployment. He wouldn't get it until at least January, and they will be home in March. Amanda and Chris offered to sell us the Saturn for $2000 and I told him. He had mentioned driving something smaller as a work car. So I said why didn't we get that from them and use the Lumina as a trade in for the van when we get it. He asked why I would buy a car and not his computer. I said I didn't have to ship the car to Iraq and that it was cheaper. So he approved of buying the car. Then he says that they had 4 mortar rounds fired at them right as his shift was over. Nothing too close but close enough to get their attention. He said he would tell me more later. He said he wished he could talk to me and hear my voice and not a keyboard. So I told him, "CALL ME COLLECT! It is only $1.25/minute." Then he tells me I am too posessive and he has Marines to take care of and make sure they get home on 2 feet. What the hell? He JUST said he wanted to hear my voice and all I say is call collect and then suddenly I am posessive. I know he is just stressed and probably freaked out a little bit. I am not going to dwell on it, I was just kind of mad. And being the wonderful, understand wife I am, I didn't write him back and cuss him out, LOL. AND one of his e-mails even said not to send anything he didn't need because he didn't have much room in his tent. Uh, then he doesn't need a computer. ****{Screams and pulls hair out}****
Anyway, to a nicer note now. Friday we are going to have a girl's day. Amanda, Mom, and I are going to Birmingham. We asked Nana to come so one of us could treat her to lunch at the Olive Garden for her birthday. She said she is set in her ways and doesn't like to get out much so she didn't know. LOL. The kids will be with me too of course. We will go in Amanda's van...YAY! I like her van. I am jealous of her van, LOL. But I like to get out and have a nice day of shopping. Even if I don't buy anything.
We are celebrating Lauren's birthday on the 4th. Yeah, so she technically won't be 2 on that day, but so what? Mom has a long weekend off and it just works better. Since the only kids will be her and Lauren, we are just going to all go to McDonald's and eat, have a cupcake cake...you know, they shape cupcakes to look like something as if it is one big cake...and on to Dora Park to try out the new playground equipment. Wooohooo, right? But they are so young, that this will be just fine to them. As they get older I am sure there will be parties catered by McDonald's and Pizza Hut and Chuck E. Cheese. LOL.
