I think I am stressing about the CIO (Christmas in October) thing. I am e-mailing companies and asking for donations. I have 2 no's and one that told me to go to local stores. I am going to do that anyway. Amanda is going to go with me. Crystal, a KV, a girl I just love to talk to, is going to her Wal-Mart to see what she can get. She is friends with the manager, so maybe he can do us good. She is a doll. She has a 5 month old and is 3 months pregnant, LOL. I believe she thought breastfeeding would keep her from getting pregnant. Anyway, she is sweet as can be.
I don't know what I am going to do if we can't get some donations though. I surely can't purchase anything.
And, I am upset about not going to California. I really wanted to go. Maybe it is better that I don't. I think I am already detaching. It is a part of it supposedly. Like a 12 step program or something. I have adjusted to his absence and I am getting into a new routine without him. If I go and see him I will end up being sad and crying all over again. Of course, we could always drive the 2100 miles in 31 hours, LOL. Then all we have to pay is gas and food and a hotel. Pft, yeah right.
Amanda and I made plans to go to the Galleria a week from Friday. She is going to take me to Bessemer first so I can get my ID and a letterhead for when I ask for donations. Thank goodness. I won't be frizzy headed, red faced, and sweaty in my picture. Hehehe. And I won't be making a face at my kids while trying to make them behave. They will be with Nana. YAY! A GIRL'S DAY!
Nana gave me a month's supply of Lexapro. I took my first one today. I hate to admit it, but I need my meds back. My kids need me to get them back.
I called Sumiton School about Headstart today. Ms. Black answered and referred me to the Headstart place in Jasper. They have to have proof of income. It turns out the go from poorest to richest, not first come first serve. There is Dora First Baptist, but the only go for 3 days a week. I would love to take her to Aldersgate, where they do preschool half a day and daycare the rest of the day. I don't know, I am torn. I know she would love it, but I feel guilty for wanting to get rid of her. LOL.
I cooked twice today. That is a big thing for me. I made homemade chicken and dumplings, and homemade pizza. The pizza crust was in a package of two, and it had the sauce. I just added spices and cheese. It was yummy. So were the dumplings. The broth thickened to a gravy after it sat a while. I put it in a bowl and I will use it again for creamy chicken noodle soup with egg noodles.
If anyone would like to make a monetary donation to our CIO for the 4/14, e-mail me at StephieTedford@hotmail.com. LOL, COME ON!!!
OK, off to be bored some more.
