I called the unit to find out if there is a departure ceremony planned for the 6th. Master Sergeant Holladay said a couple of other people had asked, he made some suggestions, and told me to contact Vicki McCarthy. She is heading up the KVN until a Chairperson is elected. So, I have e-mailed her. I cannot believe they will be leaving in a week, and there isn't anything planned for their sendoff. It isn't like any of us can afford to fly out to California to see them off, if they even have a ceremony then. They DESERVE some sort of something besides all of us just sitting there crying and waving. Posters, flags, goody bags, SOMETHING! I already have my house decorated in red, white, and blue for William's party the 4th. I have for a week. I'm just in shock I suppose. This place is so unorganized.
So, any ideas for what to do?
