New Orders.
29 June 2004 * 00:03

William got home around 9 pm. He was like 6th in line for his new ID card, and the machine broke. This place has some real problems.

He did find out that we should be getting our back pay any time now.

Master Sargeant Holladay is a man I have met out there. When William first reported after he procrastinated for so long, he is who we met with. He gave me some info. His wife is one of the main KV ladies. He called me by name at the KV training, but I figured he just looked at my name tag. Well tonight, he went up to William and asked him about me by name. He told William he thought I would be a big help with everything. It made me feel good. He is very very polite too. He teaches 2nd grade. He is hilarious. He came in and said he had a story for us. It ended up being a game with our thumbs and doing this over the hill knock on the door, silly kind of story thing. It was hilarious! We were all kinda tense and that really helped break the ice.

So, about the new orders. Williams battery, Headquarters battery, was split into Kilo and Lima batteries...now called companies. Well, they were moved back out of the batteries/companies to form their own once again. They will be perimeter security for FSSB or something like that, south of Baghdad. He said it was something that started with a T. I think I found it on this map waaaaaay south of there. Tallil is what I am thinking. I don't know if it makes me feel better or not. Since I have never heard of this place, then I guess I feel OK. And he shouldn't be going into the major cities for any reason. So, yeah I guess I do feel better.

William will be going to Bessemer every day since he is officially active duty now. He has to report at 06:30 in the morning. Which means he has to leave by 05:30, and get up about 04:30. Bless his heart. LOL. I shaved his head tonight. I told him with me speaking in acronymns and shaving his head, I was officially a Marine Corps wife. Hehehe.

OK, Lauren is asleep now, so I am going to head to bed. Until tomorrow...
